FIX PAY & FIXED SALARY SYSTEM REMOVAL

For the past few years, the state government has considered eliminating the practices of fixed pay, contract practices and outsourcing that have pervaded the administrative system of the state government. It may be announced in the next budget.

Consideration of removal of fixed salary system as it affects the performance of employees

According to the talks between the Chief Minister and various ministers, as this method changes the effectiveness of the work of the employees, it is being considered to eliminate this practice altogether.

At present, fixed salary, contract and outsourcing practices are in force in various departments of the state government. Fixed pay system means that the employee is recruited by the state government itself and after a certain period they are made permanent.

While contract system i.e. 11 months contractual recruitment is done on vacancy. Outsourcing means supplying the required manpower to the state government through an agency. The government is currently recruiting through these three methods. There are 3.80 lakh fixed salary and 10.80 lakh contract and outsourcing employees in the state. By removing this method, the government is considering to come to the method of recruiting permanent employees. Official sources expressed the possibility that the government may do away with the fixed, contract-outsourcing practice by making adequate financial provision for this in the next budget.

Currently fixed, outsourcing got 10.80 lakh At present the state has a total of 10.80 lakh employees including fixed, contract and outsourcing. In the budget session of the next assembly, the state government has taken a move to remove this practice and move on to permanent recruitments with huge financial provision.
