Educational Qualifications
- To be eligible for the Fireman-Driver position, candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) examination or its equivalent from a recognized board. Additionally, candidates must hold a Fireman training certificate from a recognized institution and possess a valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) driving license. Proficiency in basic computer operations and knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi language is also required.
Age Limit
- The age limit for applicants is set between 18 to 33 years as of August 31, 2024.
- There are age relaxations available for candidates from reserved categories as per the government norms.
Application Fee
- The application fee for general category candidates is INR 500, while reserved category candidates need to pay INR 400. The fee is non-refundable but will be returned to those who appear for the examination.
- Candidates must pay the fee online through the OJAS portal by September 5, 2024.
- The selection process consists of a competitive exam that includes both objective and descriptive questions. The exam is divided into two parts: Part A and Part B. Part A covers topics like general knowledge and data interpretation, while Part B focuses on relevant subject knowledge and its application.
- Candidates must achieve a minimum qualifying score in both parts to be considered for further rounds, which may include physical tests and document verification.
How to Apply for Gujarat Fireman Recruitment 2024?
- 👉Visit the OJAS portal at ojas.gujarat.gov.in.
- 👉Click on the “Online Application” tab and select GSSSB.
- 👉Find the advertisement number 236/2024-25 for the Fireman-Driver post and click “Apply.”
- 👉Fill in personal details educational qualifications, and upload the required documents, including a recent photograph and signature.
- 👉Review the filled application form and confirm the details.
- 👉Pay the application fee online and save the receipt.
- 👉Submit the application and note down the application number.
